Who, what and why

Chairman - Dave Rankin
- Leader and figurehead. The one who facilitates the committee meetings and keeps the membership (rabble) in order during the AGM.
- Drinks on boat: Tea, white, no sugar
- Drinks in the pub: A decent draught beer, willing to try local brews - if I don't like it, I don't have to have a second
- Favourite dive/water related film: The Poseidon Adventure, (can't really think of any film that is that much good diving wise - although The Deep with the wet T-shirt is worth watching - even if the diving is a bit naff)
- Best/Favourite dive: 1) Any that I come back from, 2) Any that everybody else comes back from, 3) Any where buddy and myself don't get lost, 4)
Any where I don't lose or break an item of kit

Diving Officer - Kim Thomas
- The all knowing and all powerful … also stops us from doing silly things while diving and does a lot of organising.
- Drinks on boat: Tea, white, half a sugar
- Drinks in the pub: Cider
- Favourite dive/water related film: The Deep (Jacqueline Bisset in a bikini, enough said!!)
- Best/Favourite dive: Hilsea Point, Plymouth, although the Rosalie Moller and the Thistlegorm both come a close second
- Favourite food: Curry, but I'll eat almost anything. I draw the line at celery!

Training Officer - Clive Dowdall
- Master of diving practices and the training guru. He co-ordinates with the instructors to help with our extensive training programs.

Asst Training Officer/ Branch Secretary - Brett Parker
- Writes lots of committee minutes and organises the AGM. Also messes around with the web site.

- Drinks in the pub:Cider or a nice rich red wine
- Favourite dive/water related film: Jaws, Peter Benchley's The Beast, The Dive (Norwegian version) and finally The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
- Best/Favourite dive: So far, I have to say Rosalie Moller
- Favourite Food: Anything spicy!

Treasurer - Anna Drobiazg
- Responsible for keeping us in the black, signing lots of cheques and holding up the occasional bank.

Equipment Officer - Ross Udall
- Very strong fellow… capable of lifting two twin sets in each hand. Keeping the kit in service and doling it out to new dive students.
- Drinks on boat: Tea, no sugar or black coffee, one sugar
- Drinks in the pub: Lime and soda
- Favourite dive/water related film: Open Water - that one about the divers who get left behind by the dive boat – he dies, she survives
- Best/Favourite dive: Wreck of the Hathor of St Agnes, Scilly Isles – beautiful big wreck, foredeck intact, lies on top of a 2nd wreck, the Plympton – it’s a bogof – buy one, get one free. I want to go back and do the big swim through the forward holds

Membership Secretary / Secretary - Mariette Ferreira
- Frequently seen demanding money with menaces from the membership if club dues are not paid on time.
- Drinks on boat: White, sweet tea or some of the blue stuff, Powerade!
- Drinks in the pub: Always a Lager Shandy
- Favourite dive/water related film: Definitely not Open Water!
- Best/Favourite dive: Diving in the Scilly Isles surrounded by seals, who were just as curious about us as we were about them!

Welfare Officer - Teresa Neary
- Ensures adequate protection for children and vulnerable people and ensures the club operates correctly on welfare issues.
